Money Transfer with Tahweel Al Rajhi

Hi, this is a brief information (based on my experience) on how to remit your salary to your home country.

There are many money transfer establishments in Saudi Arabia. My preference is mainly based on distance of the center and time it takes to realize your payments.

Holding a valid Iqama is a must but some branches do accept passport (for short term visa). Mainly for my fellow companions in Information Tech frequently visiting the country for work either you find someone whose Iqama you can use to transfer the money or find a branch which accepts your passport. The latter I think is difficult but preferred.

First Time Procedure:
1. Fill up the form available at the entrance of the branch. (Please carry a blue pen)
2. Fill in the Benificiary details such as his Name, Account Number, Branch Name (include IFSC code next to branch name) and mobile number (of your home country).
Ensure the beneficiary name matches the account holder name exactly to avoid delays.
3. Enter your details mainly name, iqama number and phone. Sign the document.Hand over the form and your IQAMA to the customer service agent. He will give you form back stamped and a blue card.
4. Now join the remittance queue which are longer on weekends. Hand over the form, the blue card and your iqama to the teller (cashier).
5. If everything is fine he will quickly transfer the money and handover the statement to you. Step aside verify the statement, sign it and handover the merchant copy back to the teller keep the customer copy with you.

Henceforth, just join the remittance queue directly and provide your IQAMA and the blue card to the teller.
